METEOROLOGICAL.
Present indications are for moderate to strong and variable -winds, south-wc-sterlies prevailing and veering to northerlies shortly; weather warmer with increasing cloud and haziness and rain following later; barometer rising, but falling again after about 16’ hours. Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reports as follows: —Barograph, 30.06. Shade temperature: Maximum 77.4, minimum. 53.2, terrestrial 50.2, bright sunshine lOhrs 15min. Longbush.—Mr P. H. Nathan, “Eringa” reports:—Total rainfall 78 points; 7 days with rain; main fall 40 points on the 4th. For December 1924, 13.20 inches; rainfall for year 45.17 inches; previous year 55.08 inches.
