Present indications are for strong north to west winds generally, and increasing soon in and southwards of Cook Strait; rain probable on West Coast and southern districts, but fair to cloudy elsewhere; barometer fall everywhere shortly. Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph 30.C5. Shade temperature, maximum 58.8, minimum 34.8, terrestrial 28,4, frost 3.6, bright sunshine 8.30.
