PERSONAL NOTES.

Mrs J. Judd (Tone) has been visiting Masterton for a few days.

Mrs C. C. Jackson (Kopuaranga, Wairarapa), is visiting Wellington.

Mr and Mrs K. J. Didsbury (Alfredton) are on a visit to Auckland.

Miss Perry (Seatoun) is visiting her sister, Mrs B. Maunsell (Masterton).

Mrs Hartley and Mr F. Hartley have returned to Eketahuua from a holiday in Auckland.

Miss Nita Knubley (Timaru) has left for a holiday in Roterua, Martinborough and Hawkes Bay.

The Rev. E*. A. and Mrs Gillespie (Featherston) are the guests of Mr and Mrs L. B. Maunsell, ,f Masterton.

Mrs McGovern (Auckland) spent a few days with her mother, Mrs Beddington, * Masterton, on her way through to Timaru.

Mr and Mrs Gower, who have been visiting Mrs W. J. Percy “Wharekoa,” Eketahuna, have returned to Johnsonville.

The death occurred in Masterton on Monday of Miss * Constance (Tanza) Cook, daughter of Mrs B. Cook and the late Mr 8.. Cook, of Wellington. Deceased had only been ill a short time. Mrs A. Knowles, of Masterton, is a sister.

Miss Beatrix Dobie, the well-known New Zealand artist, was married, in England to Lieutenant Rene Vernon of Kef, Tunisia. Miss Dobie has been on a painting trip in French Algeria, where she met her fiance, who is an engineer lieutenant in the French Army. The marriage took place from the hemo of her cousin.

Mr and Mrs G. Harold Smith and Miss Smith (Fahiatua) will remain in London for a month before touring England and Scotland by motorcar. A visit to Ireland will fellow, and there will be a Continental tour before the return to New Zealand, via Suez, about the end of the year.

Mr and Mrs Ralph Beotham, Mrs Beetham’s daughter, Miss Violet Hutchinson, and Master Hugh Beet, ham, arrived in London, via New York, says a London paper. They expect to leave for New Zealand in November. Mrs T. W. Wardell and 4er daughter, who will be in England utnil October, will visit Scotland and the Continent.
