IX7HHNG.—Tenders are invited from ’ qualified Electrical Contractors for the supply and erection of materials for Block 12 in and around Dannevirke. Country work averages 5 miles from Dannevirke. Block includes over 80 house wiring installations and a number of milking motors. To enable small contractors to compete the Block is in four sections. Tender forms, together with conditions and sepcifications, will be sent only on application. "PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given of the following resolution passed by the Main Highways Board on the 16 th July, 1925:— “That pursuant to the powers conferred by paragraph 4 of clause 9 of the Regulations as to the Use of Motor Lorries, published in New Zealand Gazette, No. 20, of 26th March, 1925, the Main Highways Board, being the controlling authority in respect of that portion of the WellingtonNapier via Wairarapa Main Highway from its junction with the Akatarawa road in the No. 9 Highway District to Abbot’s ereek bridge (known as No. 4 Rimutaka Bridge) in the No. 10 Highway Distinct, doth hereby prohibit absolutely as from 10th August, 1925, until 30th September, 1925, the use on the said portion of such Main Highway of any motor lorry, other than motor lorries coming within classes A., 8., C., D., E. and F., i.e., the use A such portion of Main Highiway of any motor lorry, which, together with its maximum load, exceeds 5 tons in weight, for the period mentioned.” F.
