SOLWAY COLLEGE.

The following motion of appreciation was carried unanimously at a meeting of the Board of Governors of Solway College:— “The Board of Governors of Solway College, in accepting the resignation of Mr W. J. Tennent as secretary, desires to place on record their high ap-. preciation of the faithful manner in which he always discharged his duties. I They realise that Mr Tennent had the truest interest of the College at heart, r.nd gave most unsparingly of his time and ability. The Board were always confidence that while ho was in office the interests of the College were perfectly safe. Every member of the Board was sorry to lose his services, but most of all to lose Mr Tennent himself. His devotion to duty, his genuine straightforwardness, his integrity of character, and his humble tactfulness endeared him to all. The members will follow him to his new home in Dunedin with deepest interest, and will earnestly pray that he may have health and happiness in the eventide.”
