WAIRARAPA P. & A. SOCIETY.
MONTHLY MEETING. (“The Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society was held at Greytown on Saturday, there being present Messrs J. G. Oates (chairman), E. Eagle, J. Hodder, W. Saywell, R. Bassett, C. Reid, J. Meikle, H. Rayner, O. A. Cadwallader, P. Bain, B. G. Kemble, and J. G. McDonald. Finance. The treasurer reported bank overdraft £2925 14s Bd, deposit £lOOO, total £3925 14s Bd. Receipts since last meeting £229 8s 2d. Accounts totalling £lll 8s 2d were passed for payment. Correspondence. The National Sheep Breeders’ Association, England, advised that their annual conference would be held at Chester on July 6.—lt was deoMed to ask Messrs B. Beetham, Sharpe and Spooner, who pre visiting the Old Country, to represent the Society. The New Zealand Kennel Club advised that the challenges allotted to Wairarapa show for 1925 were pugs, deerhounds and Irish water spaniels. Messrs G. E. Allen and L. H. Smart were appointed delegates to the North Island Conference of A. and P. Associations. Messrs Henry Fitter aad Sons were accorded a vote of thanks for the interest they had taken in the show exhibit of lambs. It was decided to follow the Hawkes Bay Association in the matter of show dates. The Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand asked for a list of judges recommended by the Society.— Left to thb Judges Selection Committee. Three resignations were accepted and one held over. General. Mr J. Meikle offered a special prize of £1 la for the best stool made for the cowshed by a farm employe from a benzine case.—The donor was accorded a vote of thanks.
