WEDDING.
BIDDLE—MpGARVIE. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Andrew’s Church, Carterton, when Miss Maisie McGarvie, eldest daughter of Mr J. McGarvie, of Moreton road, Carterton, was married to Mr George Biddle, third son of Mrs , F. Biddle, of Dalcficld. The Rev. W. ! H. Howes officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a * dainty frock of white embossed satin brocks draped with radium lace and finished with pearls. A veil of silk ' tulle over a coronet of orange bios- i sem was worn, and a bouquet of lilium auratum and maidenhair fern was I carried. The chief bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Richardson (Shannon) wore ' a frock of pink brocaded taffetas ! with gold mob cap, and carried a bou- i quet of pink and white asters with i
white streamers . Miss Ivy Biddle wore a mauve dress with gold mob cap and bouquet of mauve asters and white streamers. Mr S. Conwell carried out tho duties of best man, assisted by Mr Bert McGarvie, brother of the bride, as groomsman. The bride’s travelling dress was blue marocain embroidered in , grey, with 'hat to match. A reception was held at St. Andrews school room and the happy couple left for the South amidst tho good wishes of their many friends.
