TROUBLE CONTINUES.

NO SIGN OF ABATEMENT. SEAMEN VIOLATE AGREEMENT. SYDNEY, Mar. 19;—The action of the Seamen’s Union in withdrawing men from the Eromanga is a violation of the undertaking given to the Arbitration Coart recently, and another suit may be instituted by ike Commonwealth Line to secure the Union’s de-registration. In another direction trouble is threatened oh the wharves by the Watersiders’ 'Federation, which is proposing that its men shall not work on ships after nine o’clock at night unless for securing the immediate despatch of a vessel by continuing working.

The ship-owners fear that this is the beginning of a long series of claims which will continually imperil peace on the wharves. The secretary of the Returned Soldiers’ Watersiders’ Union reports that the strength of his Union is increasing daily. The Union has decided to combat the tactics of the trolley and draymen’s Union by forming a Land Transport Union, which will be able to undertake the conveyance of goods during the present trouble.—(P-A.)
