METEOROLOGICAL.
Present indications are for moderate to strong south-east winds northwards of Westport and Kaikoura, south-westerlies elsewhere, changing tj northerlies everywhere shortly; weather cloudy to overcast at times with drizzling rain probable, especially in the northern and East Coast districts of the North Island; barometer little movement.
Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterdays—Barograph 30.20. Shade temperature, maximum 76.4, minimum 42.6, terrestrial 33, bright sunshine lOhrs 30min.
