METEOROLOGICAL.
Present indications are for moderate to streng south-easterlies northwards of Kawhia and East Cape, and variable breezes with westerlies prevailing elsewhere, squally at times IB the southernmost districts; weather fair to cloudy generally, but scattered showers probable on the western coast.
Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph 30.6. Shade temperature, maximum 63.6, minimum 33.6, terrestrial 25.2, rain 4 points, frost 6.8, bright sunshine shra 35min.
Solway.—Mr H. M. Boddington re ported 7 points of rain.
