SINGAPORE BASE.
EXPENDITURE TO DATE. £260,000 VOTED THIS YEAR. (Press Association—Copyright.) (Received Sunday 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Mar. 13.—The navy estimates reveal that £75,000 has been spent to date on the Singapore naval base, and £250,000 is being voted- this year, leaving £9,089,000 required to complete the work. The oil fuel store there has up to the present had £872,000 spent on it and £14,443 is being voted this year, leaving £188,700 required to complete the installation. —(A. and N.Z.)
