A REMARKABLE INVESTMENT FOR THE FARMER from which the capital outlay is returned many times over. ■READ the following from Mr H. E. CROSSE, Patoka, Hawkes Bay:— “Re EPHOS: I top-dressed 100 acres light pumice land with 2cwt ’EPHOS’ to the acre. “On about 50 acres the grass was rapidly running out and had become less than one-sheep to the acre. This paddock after fertilizing wintered 200 breeding ewes and at docking • (when' they were taken out) both ewes and lambs were in excellent condition. “About 30 acres, which was carrying apparently no English grass and very little Danthonia, was shot up in the spring for about three weeks, at the end of which time it showed a large quantity of Clover (principally Yellow Trefoil and White Clover), a quantity of Ryegrass and Cocksfoot. Sheep did magnificently in it. “20 Acres of new grass (mostly Rye) was fertilized and the remainder of the paddock left. I consider an acre of the fertilized land produced four times the feeding of the unfertilized. “I used EPHOS (2ewt per acre) for sowing Lucerne and Rape. The Rape crop is, I think, the best I have seen in this part of the country, and the Lucerne is doing excellently. “I have 10 tons of EPHOS on order for this year.’’ Apply EPHOS as a top-dressing for grass in the autumn months. The cost per acre is small. The results are quickly obtained. Carrying capacity is materially increased, and stock improve in condition.
