French and Italian police are searching for an Italian convict named Raimondi, who was arrested in 1922 on 75 charges, ranging from theft to murder, and sentenced to 18 years’ hard labour, but escaped during transference from Genoa to Turin. According tc Italian law, the gendarme in charge when he escaped must undergo threequarters of the convict’s sentence. He has already served two years.
