THE DENNISTOUN CASE.

READY FOR SETTLEMENT. (Received 7.45 p.m.) LONDON, March 10.—In the Dennistoun case, Sir George Lewis, on behalf of Mrs Dennistoun, declared that if her divorce from her husband obtained in Paris in 1921 was good it was also valid in England. Sir E. Marshall Hall retorted that the validity of sueh divorce would be one of the chief issues of the case. Colonel Dennistoun did not dispute the issues of domicile or misconduct, but would swear that the divorce was arranged between Mrs Dennistoun and himself.

Lengthy argument followed on questions of collusion, which Sir George Lewis denied and the admission of certain letters. Sir George claimed that the case could be settled anv moment on a fair basis.—(A. and N.Z.)
