AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
COMMITTEE MEETING
The Masterton Amateur Athletic Club held a committee meeting on Tuesday evening. Mr T. G'. Vangioni presided
It was reported that preliminary arrangements for the club's annual fixture on the Park Oval on Anniversary Day are well in hand. The prize list shows a value of over £2OO, with many valuable cups and shields to be competed for. Mr E. J. Heffer was unanimously elected secretary for the ensuing year, vice Mr Coleman.
The events for the evening run of Thursday next are as follows:—22o yds, 880yds, flat handicap, long jump handicap, and IJ-mile cycle event. During Christmas week the run will be held on Tuesday eveing. In view of the provincial championships ,the following selectors for t>he local team were elected: —T. G. Vangioni, E. J. Eastwood and G. McKay.
