AUCKLAND’S BIG SCORE. CHRISTCHURCH, Dec. 17.—The Heathcote Williams shield match was commenced to-day between Auckland Grammer School (challengers) and Christchurch Boys’ High School (holders).
Auckland batted first, and when stumps were drawn had nine wickets down, for 462 (Walkin 20, McCarthy 83, Hay 12, Matheson 141, Wells not out 122, Schnaucr 21). —(P.A.)
