ACCIDENT ON RIMUTAKA. JIGGER AND TRAIN COLLIDE. WELLINGTON, Doc. 16.—Two railway surfacemen were seriously injured yesterday as tho result of an accident on the Bimutaka line. Niel I-’oter Holbeck, 30 years of age, a married man, and Charles Jordan, 28, single, were descending the hill on a handpropelled jigger and, when rounding a sharp bend, they coljfdcd with a goods train, being thrown heavily. Holbeck was injured in the ribs and spine, and Jordan has one leg broken, his head and ribs, also, being injured.— (P.A.)
