Y.M.C.A. DEFEAT DALEFIELD. GOOD’GAME AT THE OVAL. Under very good conditions, Y.M.C.A. defeated Dalefield at the Park Oval on Saturday. Y.M. made the most of the sun behind them in the first spell, Bannister, being well supplied with the ball from his inside forwards, shooting 4 goals, which Barr followed up with another. Tunnecliffo opened Daleficld’s account, and put on another before the spell. The visitors tried hard to even up when they got the sun behind them, but the Y.M. defence stood the test. Y.M. forwards combined nicely in the first spell, their form being consistent. Wilson, Davis, Barr and Bannister were conspicuous throughout, while Bannin, Tunnecliffo and G. Gallon wore the most noticeable for Dalefield. LADIES’ GAMES. Hinemoa 3, Kiwi 0. JUNIOR? - Solway College 1, Kiwi 0. High School A beat High School B.
