BROKERS’ REPORTS. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., May 6: Wool sales opened. Attendance or buyeis is large; fair selection. Good competition generally from Continental and English buyers. Withdrawals of speculators’ lots fairly frequent owing to high limits. As compared with last sales closing rates merino wool prices unchanged, xbd fine quality unchanged; xbd medium ano coarse irregular; slipe and scoured xbd unchanged; lambs wool and greasy xbd pieces active demand.
N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., May 6: There was a good attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home buyers being active. The sale opened firmly for merino, but xbds were irregular. The opening catalogues were fairly represented.

All other descriptions no material change.
