ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY. OF TROTTING CONSPIRACY. Dunedin, May 7.—The case of alleged ringing-in at the Gore trotting meeting in October of The Dingo for the trotter Kingsdale was continued. The accused, John Richards and Walter Leonard James Cameron, are indicted on four counts. The members of the jury were kept together last night. They slept at a hole! under police guards and earlier in the evening they went to a place of amusement under escort. The defence called no evidence. After the adjournment for lunch the horse was taken into the street ami ridden in hopples for the benefit of the jury. The jury, after a retirement of halfan hour, returned with a verdict of guilty against both accused on two counts, and added a recommendation to the New' Zealand Trotting Association to exercise greater care in accepting negotiations.
