Present indications arc for strong north-westerly to south-westerly winds; weather unsettled and cloudy, with rain following generally; barometer falling everywhere, but rising in south after about 18 hours. Masterton.—Mr R. Brown reported at 9 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph 3016, unsteady. Shade temperature, maximum 55.2, minimum 32.4, terrestrial 31, bright sunshine nil.
