| MASTEBTON BOROUGH COUNCIL. NOTICE OF SPECIAL ORDER. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Masterton Borough Council, held in’ the Council Chambers, Chapel street, Masterton, on the 20th day of September, 1923, the following resolution was passed:— WHEREAS the sum of one thousand six hundred and seventy-seven pounds thirteen shillings and ninepence (£1677 13s 9d), borrowed by the Masterton Borough Council for the purpose of the Bannister street Repayment Loan, was duo and payable on the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred ami twenty-three, AND WHEREAS the .Sinking Fund in respect of the said Loan amounted only to the sum of six hundred and ninety-three pounds I ten shillings and Sixpence (£693 10s i 6d), and the further sum of nine hundred and eight-four pounds three shillings and threepence (£984 3s 3d), is required to pay off the said loan. NOW, THEREFORE, the Mastertoil Borough Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by ‘‘The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” and its Amendments, “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913,” and its Amendments, and all other Acts and powers (if any) it enabling, DOTH HEREBY RESOLVE by way of SPECIAL ORDER: 1. THAT a Special Loan of nine hundred and eight-four pounds three shillings and threepence (£984 3s ‘3d) (to be known as the “Bannister Street Repayment Renewal Loan”) be raised by the Masterton Borough Council for the purpose of providing funds for the repayment of the ’moneys outstanding in respect of the said Bannister Street Repayment I Loan raised pursuant to Special Order of The Masterton Borough Council passed on the twenty-third day of September, one thousand nine hundred and thirteen. 2. THAT the said sum of nine hundred and eighty-four pounds three -shillings and threepence (£984 3s 3d) ■shall be repayable at Wellington on the twenty-eighth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and twentyeight. 3. THAT the rate of interest on the said Loan shall be five pounds ten ! shillings (£5 10s) per centum per anI num, payable half-yearly at Welling- . ton on the twenty-eighth day of FebJruary and August in each year during the currency of the Loan. 4. THAT a Sinking Fund of five pounds (£5) per centum per annum be established towards the repayment of 4 the said Loan. 5. THAT the security for the interest and Sinking Fund and repayment of the said Special Loan be a special . rate of six one-hundredths (6/100th) , of a penny in the pound on the unim- ’ proved value of all rateable property ’ in that part of the Borough of Mast terton described in the Schedule here- ; to, and that such special rate shall be ( an annual recurring rate during the currency of the said Loan, payable t half-yearly on the twenty-eighth day of the months of February and Augc ust in each and every year during the ; currency of the said Loan, being a ■ period of five (5) years or until the g Loan is full paid off. t THE SCHEDULE. t All rateable property comprising t that part of the Borough of Masterton J included within the following boundaries:— , Bounded towards the north-east by i the right bank of the Waipoua river, j the. south-east boundary line of the f Akura Block to the east side of Coj lombo road; towards the east by the 3 eastern side of the said Columba road , to the Kuripuni stream; thence to- ’ wards the south and south-east by 1( the said Kuripuni stream to Railway . road; thence towards the north-east generally by a line along tho middle line of the said Railway road to a point in a line with the southern boun. dary line of Section 31' Masterton Small Farm Block; thence by a right line to the south corner of that section; thence north-west by Section 31 aforesaid to the Waipokaka stream; thence by the Ngaumatawa Block, the Bishops Reserve and the Akura Block to the right bank of the Waipoua river opposite Section 63, Masterton Small Farm Block, the starting point.
