TARINGAMOTU THEFT.
A POSSIBLE CLUE. Taumarunui, Feb. 27.—Miss Rang:, the racehorse which was stolen from a paddock at Matapuna last week, was found by the police quite close to the scene of the burglary at Tarmgamotu, still carrying a saddle and bridle. The police believe the finding of the horse gives them a clue to work upon in regard to the theft of LTSOO from the Native Houpapa. (The Wanganui police received news o’i Friday last that the whare of a Maori named Hautapa, at Taringamotu. 14 miles from Taumarunui, was entered and a safe broken into some time between Monday and Thursday.
