A CARPENTIER-DEMPSEY MATCH.
London, Jan. 17.—Tommy Burns has telegraphed to Mr Kearns and M. Descamps stating that he represents a syndicate which is willing to offer £30,000 for a fight between Demplsey and Carpentier for the world’s championship, the winner to receive £20,000 and the loser £lO,OOO, with £lOOO each for expenses, and the fight to take place in England.
