TROOPS MARCHING ON LISBON

Lisbon, Oct. 23.—The British warship Calypso- has arrived. The whole country is quiet. Paris, Oct. 23.—The “Echo de Paris’s” Vigo correspondent reports that the revolutionary movement in Portugal is of Bolshevik character. General Rosa, commanding the Oporto division, is reported to be marching upon Lisbon. —(Reuter.) A COUNTER REVOLUTION. (Received 11.36 p.m.) London, Oct. 24.—Advices from the “Chronicle’s” Paris correspondent state that grave disorders are occurring in Oporto. The garrison, rejecting the new regime, are organising a counter revolution. They hold the rocky mountains on the right bank of the Douro, and have seized the bridge carrying the railway towards Lisbon.
