Woi'ks Department wrote stating that if had received no inlimat ion from the Castlepoint County Council to the effect that it would contribute one-eighth of flic cost in connection with the Rorokoko bridges. The clerk intimated that a copy of the required resolution had no( come lo hand from the Castlepoint County Council. The letter was "received.'' The Wairarapa Automobile Association wrote requesting the assistance of the Council in erecting new fences on the Wairarapa side of the Hiuiutaka [ road. The Council resolved, on lite motion of Cr. Daniell, that (he sum of £2l be donated to the Association towards (he required fencing. Mr. Martin Cairns wrote requesting an increase in wages for the use of ; his teams. Rnngitumau Riding.-—Three, teams are working on the Bluff to Hangifuliiiui Road, and four on the Te Ore OreBidcford Hoad. I am having the work done on Dorset 's Head. This was left from last- autumn. The contractor has commenced the roadman's collage on the Wangaehu Valley Road. 'Pour culverts are required on -lames Head, af an approximate cost of £3O. Uriti Hiding.—Maslerlon-Waimafa Hoad. 'Te Parae Road is in a. kid state. One of the wings is broken away. It also requires a now top deck. I would suggest that the necessary repairs be taken in hand as soon as possible.
