ARRIVAL OF CEMFN-. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) "HOKITIKA, Last Night. Mr. Murdoch, "West-land County chairman, has received the following reply from the Minister of Public Works:—"Your telegram of the 13th has been received re the cement shortage. Pleased to inform you that three hundred tons of coment were shipped at "Whangarei for Otira yesterday. Other provision is also being made for further shipments." Mr. Seddon, member for Westland, is co-operating with Mr. Murdoeh in the representations to tho Minister.
