MASTERTON FIRE BOARD.
QUARTERLY MKETLN(}. The tjuartei-ly monthly of Iho Masterton Fire Bonrd was hold yesterday afternoon. There u'ere present Messrs W. Candv (chairman), T. Jenkins, R. J. King, \V. 11. Jackson. D. J. Bows, W. E. A. Gill, and 0. R. C. Rolricson. The Under-Secretary for Department of Internal Affairs notified that the 500 feet of lire hose for the Bonrd had been arranged for, and would he landing in a few months. ' Mr Robieson reported having attended the Conference, of Fire Boards in Wellington and the matters dealt with had been referred to a committee to draft a scheme for submission to the various Fire Boards. The interim fire reports for the quarter were laid on tho table, and accounts amounting to £274 Is 7d wore pnswd for payment. The tender of Messrs Strange and Co., Ohristchureh, was accepted for 30 pairs of trousers for the firemen.
