Carterton. (From Our Resident Reporter.) A first-offending drunk waa convicted and fined 5a at the Police Court on Saturday morning. * The Lansdowne school pupils are producing "The Princess of Poppyland" at Carterton this (Monday) evening. Carterton tradespeople will observo a holiday on Saturday next. Residents will bo without water on two days of this week, in order to enable the scraping operations to continue.
