ORDINARY MEETING. Tho ordinary meeting of the Wairaapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Joard, was unable to take his place ay. Mr. E. G. Eton, chairman of the 3oard, was unable to take his place -wing to illness, and Mr. W. Fisher vas voted to the chair, regret being xprcssed at Mr. Eton 'a illness. There /ere also present Messrs S. Bolton, T. toss, A. Clark, T. J. Thompson, H. O. 'oogood, R. B. Robertson, C. C. Jackon, and J. C. Ewington. Correspondence was received from he Defence Department, stating they ould not say when tho ambulances /ould arrive,' owing to shipping. Tho Acting Chief Health Officor <roto re proceeding under tho Social Iygieno Act, 1917. —Referred to entral Committee for report. Tho secretary for tho National louncil for combating Venerea! HHeasos wrote, asking tho Board's copcration.—Received. The Wairarapa Patriotic Association /rote in referenco to further grants or the military wing at tho Masterton iospital.—-Tho Board decided to finish ho work from thdr own funds. Tho Eketaliuua County and Borough 'opneils wrote regarding tho ro-estab-shmcnt of a district nurso for that >cality.—Mr. Moss was authorised to i;t in touch with local bodies con erncd and report to a future meeting. Inspector Russell wrote in reference o a motor cycle and car. —Left over j ntil tho end of the financial year. It was decided to approach the 'ublic Trustee with a view to raising . further loan of £12,000 to cover the ost of additionß to Solway-Homo, rection of a new isolation block at Easterton Hospital, and a permanent ome for the nursing and domestic tail's at Pahiatua Hospital. An application was received and ssistanco granted for ono month for .. patient at tho Government Sanatorium at Rotorua. Another was reoived from a resident of Pahiatua or assistance in obtaining treatment n the To Waikato Sanatorium.— Granted. It was decided to increase the alaries &f Sistyrs Harkness and -IcKenzie, of Masterton, and Sister irakc, of Grey town, by £lO per nnum, as Strom Docembor 1, 1919. At tho conclusion of the meeting, he chairman wished membors tho compliments of tho season, tho complitents teing returned by the membors.
