WAIPUKURAU SALE. Tho usual weekly sale was held at Waipukurau, when a good attendance of those interested wero present, including representatives from outside districts. The cattle yards wero well, filled, and as vendors in many cases met the market, a fair clearance was effected. Only a few sheep came forward, and the majority of these changed hands. Following is the range of prices:—Fat bulocks £l3 173 to £l4 5s Gd, fat cows £8 12s to £lO Is, fat hcif/srs £l2 5s to £l3, 3-year P.A. sfcpers i £8 15a, 3-year Hereford steers £7 12s, ; 3 year Shorthorn steers £9 2s Gd, cows ''and calves £G 2s Gd, yearling Horeford \ steers £5, fat ewes 263, fat and for- ; ward ewes 21s 10d, 4 and 6-tooth : wethers 525, 2-tooth wethers (small) ! 12s to 13s Gd.
CLEARING SALE. The Wairarapa Farmers? Co-opera-tive Association, Ltd. (Stock Department) held a clearing sale on account of Mr. W. J. Hope, nt Mauricoville, on Tuesday. Competition for dairy cows was very slack, but they disposed of a good numbor on an average of £l4 per head. Sheep: Dry ewes in wool brought £2 73; cull hoggets £l, ewes in wool wdth, lambs at foot £2 6s. Cattle: 2-year steers £4 10s, 2-year empty heifers £6, store cows £5 5s to £6, brake horse £lB, gig, horse and harness £3G. Pig 3: Porkers £3 9s, slips 30s Gd. Furnituro and sundries realised good prices.
