WOMEN WORKERS

The Board of Trade has oponed an inquiry to determine the living wageof women workers of the liquor trade. The union have presented an ultimatum to the hotcl-kcepcra demanding a forty-eight hour week a*nd »n increase of 17s weekly, in consequence of the Board of Trade's judgment, otherwise further action will be taken.
