Miss Bunny (Ahiaruho, Gladstone) and Mrs J. Tatham (Whareama) have returned from a visit, to Wellington.

Miss Clarke, schoolmistress, of Martinborough, is at present sitting for an examination at Masterton* She is staying with her mother at> Carnarvon House.

The engagement is announced of Capt. F. S. H. Bottom, son of Mr and Mrs S. Bolton, "Oet-e," Pahiatua, to Miss Honi Elder, second daughter of Mrs Elder, Aurora Terrace, Wellington.
