THE GERMAN ADVANCE
(Außtralian-N.2?. Cable Association.) (Received Last Night, 7 o'clock.) PETROGRAD, February 27. Reports from Pskoff show that the Germans have split and are advancing in two directions. One party aims at the capital di rect and the other, which goes through Bologve, aims at cutting Petrograd off ■ from Moscow and the south. Deta.cbments of Red Guards are concentrated at Luga. The Germans, in attempting to c apture Vitebsk, were forced to retire. The Russians have removed all stores from the Orsha region.
