AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB
i A meeting o!' the committee of the above club was held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms last night. The President, Mr W. Dickson, occupied the chair, and there was a. full attendance of members. A letter was received from Messrs O. it. Sykos, M.P., and I). Caselberg accepting the position of vice-presidents Mid donating trophies to the Club, i It was decided to bold the Club's annual meeting on the Park oval on Boxing Day and. to accept the offer of the United Friendly Societies to assist at the meeting, the whole of the proceeds to go to the Wounded Soldiers' Fund. The following events were arranged for evening meetings:— Thursday, November 4th. —220 yds and 880 yds Handicaps. Thursday November 11th. — 100 Yards, One Mile, and Long Jump Handicaps. Thursday November 18th. —75 Yards, -140 Yards, 'Flop, Step and Jump Handicaps. Thursday, November 25th. —120 Yards Hurdles, 220 Yards, High Jump Handicap. Messrs" W. Hughes, W. Candy and J. Bradbury were appointed a ground committee for the month. The following handicaps have been declared by the handicapper, Mr *\V. "Dickson, for events at the Club's evening meeting to be held this evening on the Park oval, first event to start at 3.15 p.m. sharp:— 220 yds Handicap —W. Hughes, W. Candy 10yds, F: Kihninster 12, J. Bradbury, G. Dallas 15, J. Ferbison a. Chains 22, G. Taylor 22, N. Cowie, S. McEwen, S. Moore 26. 880 yds Handicap.—F. Kihninster svds, J. Bradbury 15, W. -Candy 40, CL Dallas 65, G* Taylor, J. Ferguson RO, S. McEwen 90, G. Challis 95, N. Cowie', S. Moore 100.
