A PECULIAR MOTION.
PKIC&S OF COKE AND BUTTER. At last night's meeting of the Mastorton Borough Council a letter vras road from tho socretary of tho Mastorton Dairy Company, objecting to tho increased charge for colco, a. riso of 23 per cent having boon made at the time of the watersiders' strike. The Mayor considered tho letter shojiild bo forwarded to tho Sydney "Bulletin" for publication, so foolish did it appear. Ho moved that tho Council, on behalf of the citizens of Masterton, write to the Dairy Company, objecting to tho high arico charged for butter. O. Candy seconded, and the motion was carried without further comment.
