TO BE SOLD TO-DAY. We gave some account of the exceptionally fino lot of pictures hy M'- Wm, Goo. Baker, including those iiicli ho originally intended to exhibit in 'Frisco, that are to be orf red at auction by Mr V. L. Fairbrothor at tho Club Hotel sample i ioms at 2 p.m. to-day. Tho pictures cover many of the beaiuty spots of tho Dominion. Lovers of art havo found much attraction in the display in tho past week. Tho artist ha.s imh'ed shown that ho has a close acquaintance with naturo by his faithful depiction of rivers, lakes, woods, and mountains, all of which appeal strongly to the ' aesthetic taste of those who viow the pictures.
