YAWING to the commandeering of all Lamb, Mutton, and Beef, in New Zealand by the Government—on behalf of the Imperial authorities—certain facts want to be understood. (1) The Government are paying prices according to the schedule lssuel in our circular No. 25 dated 10th March, 1915. (2) These prices are f.o.b. (freg on board) ocean steamer New Zealand ports. (3) The Government pay .or the. (2) From the f.o.b. price will have to be deducted freezing charges, wharfage, etc., about Jd per lb. (3) A prompt advance on stock is always appreciated and if farmers have to wait weeks for'their returns it may seriously inconvenience them. We are in business to meet such a position and will give you a cheque the SAME DAY as we get the killing sheets. All we charge is bank rate of interest, insurance and 1 per cent, to cover clerical and office expenses.
