SWITZERLAND AND HOLLAND DECLINE TO -MEDIATE.

The, newspaper "Lo Petite Parisi en©" stated that M. -Eyesehen, Minister of State for Luxemburg, invited the Swi's3 Federal Council to offer to mediate between France and Germany with' a view to peace negotiations, but the Council emphatically refused.

M. Eyeschen's action was followed by the Kaiaer conferring the Iron Crns-s on the Duchess of Luxemburg.
