DETAILS OF THE FIGHT. THE ENEMY FIGHTS GALLANTLY. (Received Last Sight, 5.5 o'clock.) i\EW YORK, December 23. The officers of Admiral Sturdee's squadron state that they were coaling when the Germans approached. "While steam was Fast being got up, British breakfasted .and had a good wash. The British squadron were within range after .six hours. Finding escape impossible, the German vessels lurried and accepted tU ' They romdit «-allantlv, and went down with their colours flying. • Admiral Sturdee was unable to capture any of the ships, which preferred to sink with the crows. The Nurnbtirg was sunk after flyo hours fighting.
