The 1914 Mud el Darracq Car Straight from the Factory. 12 and f 6 h.p. {EXTRACT FROM THE FAMOUS MOTOR JOURNAL, "THE AUTO CAR ). "THE AUTOCAR," London, in ono of its recent issues, devotes considerable space to the merits of the NEW DARRACQ CARS, from which the following is taken:— "The 12 h.p. and 16 h.p. Darracq models will continue to be the chief types of these cars during 1914, but the 20-30 h.p. model with an engine of 100x130 m.m. will also be supplied. The two first named types have been altered almost out of recognition as con pared with this time last year, and, as the designer now responsible for their production is Mr Owen Clegg; jwho was the designer of one of the most successful medium-power-ed cars now on the British market, one may reasonably expect that the alterations are also improvements." During the last few months the 12 h.p. and 16 h.p. Darracqs have been fitted with the p'oppet valve engines designed by Mt Clegg, replacing rotary valve engines which obtained in these cars for some time before that gentlemen took over the control of the works at Suresnes. As will be seen by what follows, the other details of the chassis have now been re-designed, so that, as we have already intimated, the two models can now be termed new types*'" when comparing them with the Darracqs of date 0.912 and early 1913." «• Both these Models are fitted with C.A.Y. Electric Lights, Nicke! fittings, 1 Man Hood, Spare Wheel, and all the Latest Improvements in the motor world. MOTOR ENGINEERS, BANNISTER ST., MASTERTON. C.A.V. SELF STARTER FITTED ATOPTION.
