WEDDINGS.

CURRY—MOORE. A pretty wedding was celebrated .yesterday' at the residence of the bride's parents, Archer Street. The contracting parlies were Miss Hilda Mary Moore, eldest daughter of Mr James Moore, of this town, and Mr Walter Curry, third son of Mr S. Curry, of Somerset, England. llie ceremony was performed by the Rev. S. J. SerpeH. The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily gownefl m cream taffeta, silk and lace, 'she al;o wore a becoming cream felt hat with plumes, and carried a beautiful white horseshoe bouquet of fresias and cherry blossom. Miss 0. Moore, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and the best man was Mr Edward Crossman, late of Somerset, England. Hie bridesmaid's frock was of amethyst silk, and she wore a black hat and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bride's mother, Mrs J. Moore, wore black silk, and a black hat with grey plumes. She carried a pretty violet bouquet. The bouquet carried by the bride was made and presented to her by Mrs Dillon. The bride's travelling dress ivas of brown voile, with Oriental trimmings, and a brown hat. The young couple were the recipients of numerous useful and valuable presents, from their many friends. Mr and Mrs W. Curry left in the afternoon for the south by motor, nnd they will subsequently reside in Mas'terton.

RUSSELL—HARE. At St. Mary's Church, New Plymouth, on August 27, the marring'. 1 took place of Miss Elsie Hare, second daughter of Mr C. J. Hare, of Omata, to Mr Robert Godfrey Russell, eldest son v of the late Mr Godfrey Russell, of Masterton. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a gown of ivory duchess satin with draped skirt", and tunic of shadow lace caught up with orange blossoms. The corsage was trimmed with seed pearls and the sleeves were of shadow lace. She also wore a veil as,a :nep cap, with orange blossoms, _ and carried a shower bouquet of white azalea s, hyacinths and iriaidenliair fern. Miss Minnie Hare, (sister of the bride), and Miss Eileen flare, of Eketaluina (cousin of the bride) were bridesmaids, and wore dresses of white satin charmeuso veiled with tango ninon made with lamp shade tunicv and trimmed with edgings of black fur. Their hats were of black shadow lace with black isatin puff oroivns* mounted with tango roses. Thaubouquets were of and i r-r- - •cissi. They also wore the gifts of iho 1 bridegroom—a Nellie Stewart bangle and pearl ear-rings with brooch to match respectively. The bridegroom was attended by Mr D. G. Thomas of Masterton, as best man and Mr L. Hare as groomsman. After the ce/fi- ( mony a reception was held at the , Kia Ora tea-rooms, where a number of friends were entertained, and the usual toasts honoured. The bri le travelled in a green tweed Russian costume trimmed with black fur, and black velvet hat with Oriental puff crown and ostrich mount.
