AN AGENT WANTED.
WITH THE NEW ZEALAND FORCE.
(By Telegraph—Press Axtoi iation.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night. I At a meeting of the Palmerston Patriotic Committee tliis afternoon, it was decided to send a deputation to the Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, with the object of getting appointed a New Zealand agent, to act at the base of the New Zealand force in a similar manner to Mr W. Filcher during the South African war. The object of having such an agent is to supply the individual members of the force with money and any other necessarie s during the campaign. A portion of his duties would also be to supply parents with any available information regarding thensons. It was decided to ask for the 00-operation of other towns in the Dominion. The date on which the deputation will go to Wellington will be advised later.
