WELLINGTON, Last Night
The Rev. D. O. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired as follows: —
Unsettled and gloomy weather has prevailed, wi'th rain in many parts of the country. Moderate to strong westerly winds have predominated with a falling barometer everywhere. Prosent indications are for high westerly to southerly winds, cold, cloudy, and squally weather, with rain probable generally, and snow on higher levels in the south. Barometer rising everywhere isoon.
