CAUSES PERPLEXITY
(Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, August 29. The newspapers refer to the Turkish emissaries' activity in Egypt. The Italian papers also comment o:» Turkey's doubtful attitude. ST. PETERSBURG, Aug. 29. The attitude of Turkey is causing perplexity. It is reported that military preparations are being carried on with all speed, and that the reservists -urn being drilled in Constantinople. A LONDON ASSURANCE,. BY TURKISH OFFICIALS. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, Aug. 29 (Evening.) Renter states that Turkish officials in London do not believe thestatement that German sailoru are going to Constantinople. Turkey ha* repeatedly given assurances of her neutrality. They deny that the is moving against Greece or taking action under German inspiration.
GERMAN NAVAL OFFICERS. ON THEIR WAY TO CONSTANTINOPLE.. (Received this morning 12.30 oVlock) ATHENS, August SO. It is semi-officially istated that eight hundred German naval officers and sailors, with a quantity of ammunition, traversed Bulgaria on Friday in a special train for Constantinople. The total now exceeds one thottsarid.
