DISASTER AVERTED.
WHARF LABOURERS' TROUBLE.
(Received Last Night, 9.30 o'clock.) K MELBOURNE, March 5. Mr. Justice Higgins, in adjourning the Avharf workers' case till Monday, congratulated the employers, the union leaders, and, above all, the public 'that a threatened disaster had been averted. The ship-owners, he said, had exercised wise patience tn rof taking certain steps, which would have precipitated a general struggle, much greater than New Zealand.
