AND THE MARTINBOROUGH RAILWAY LEAGUE. At .the meeting of .the Masterton Chamber of Commerce yesterday, the following communication was received from Mr Alex. D. McLeod, chairman of the Marwiborough Railway League —"Yours, of the 28th January to hand. My League desires me to state that they l are -unanimous on what they require, > viz., a railway from Featherston to Martinborough. They have no knowledge of having in any way obstructed Masttert&i's attempt to obtain a deviation of the Rimutaka line, and feel that a meeting cannot do * much good. >.
