Michaelis has been released at Guarelz, He declares that during his eleven days' imprisonmetn he witnessed nine executions through a peephole.
BENTON'S BODY TO BE EXHUMED.

The United States Government is sending a surgeon to El Paso to exhume and examine Mr Benton's remains.
U.S. POLICY SHOTTED BE CHANGED.
DEADLY DRIFT,
(Received February 27, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, February 26.
Mr Kahn, Speaking in the Lower House, said ho/hoped America's Mexican policy would soon be changed, and the United States be going straight, for invertion. Deadly drifting was'a. dangerous policy, t tho lift--ifig of the embargo on arms for the rebels indicating its failure. Mr Kahn suggested asking the Argentine, Chili, and Brazil to 00-operate with the United States to settle the Mexican question. The trip of the British Consul (Mr Perceval) to Mexico ha® been; postponed.
