NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. WELLINGTON, Last, Night. The Eov. D. 6. Bates, of the Meteorological office, last evening wired aa follows:—'
"The barometer has falfeit on the East Coast, for the centre- - i' the low pressure area of East last evening has apparently travelled southward. Southerly gales are now reported between Banks Peninsular and The Nuggets. Strong southerly winds have predominated. The weather lias been changeable, wilh rain in parte. Present indication, are for strong northerly and westerly winds generally, with cool, unsettled and showery weather. The barometer is rising everywhere soon, hut it is likely to fall 1 again in the south on Mond'av..
