MASTERTON CLUB. On Wednesday last the Carterton. Club challenged the holders of the Wairarapa Champion Fours' on the Masterton green. Carterton was represented by Messrs Hughan, Masson, Phillpotts and F. Lindop (skip) and Masterton by Messrs Wilks, Chapman, Staples and 0. Pragnell (s). The game resulted in a win for Masterton by 22 to 19. This is the eighth game this season through which Pragnell has successfully piloted his team. On Saturday next the Carterton Club has challenged the Masterton Club tor the Grady . Medals (pairs match). The holders are Staples and 0. Pragnell (s) and the challengers Masson and F. Lindop (s). The game will commence at 2.30 and given a good green an interesting match should result. The match for the Booth Cup, wfiich was to have ■ been played at Carterton yesterday, was abandonel on account of the weather.
